Do you believe these statements?

  • Confidence is a choice.
  • Confidence can be learned.
  • Confidence is a skill you can acquire.

Or, do you believe these statements?

  • Some people are born confident.
  • Confidence is an innate state of mind.
  • You’re either a confident person or you’re not.

As you can probably guess, I believe the first set of statements. So do most performance coaches and sports psychologists. And, interestingly, so does Venus Williams, one of the greatest tennis players of all time.
